Bunk bed | West lake

Our client purchased an unfinished condo at Dry Dock Estates and collaborated with local designer Jen Pruss with Allure & Co. to customize their vacation home so it can accommodate their family and friends. The original condo was designed with two master walk-in closets so they enlisted our help to convert one of the walk-in closets into an bunk room to host more guests. It is very tight quarters with minimal to no additional space for storing travel luggage, clothing or other personal items. After collaborating with our client and Jen, we custom designed, fabricated and installed a two-sleeper bunk bed with extra-long twin beds each with shiplap headboards, light sconces and USB-wired cubbies tall enough to fit a straw tumbler. Per our client’s request, we designed and fabricated three soft-close drawers large enough to store and fully open carry-on luggage and other personal items, such as purses, backpacks, toiletries, shopping bags and/or shoes. The ship ladder was engineered to be ergonomic for all ages and heights. For safety, we designed and installed a railing on the top bunk.
